Dorothy Mae Leas, 92, of De Soto died Nov. 15, 2017, in Morse Mill. Mrs. Leas was a homemaker. Born Oct. 16, 1925, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Delphine (Skaggs) Livengood. She was preceded in death by her husband: Earl Leas
She is survived by three children: Diana (John Jr.) Marciano of Morse Mill, Marlene Drennen of Ware and Janet Hayes of Festus; a sister: Peggy Ann Yarbrough of Dickerson, Texas; nine grandchildren: Deanna (Robert) Johnston-Rios, Marla (Mike) Ford-Hollock, Sonia (Glen) Cheung, Jamie Bennett, Jackie Ford, Jack Ford, Joshua Drennen, Megan Drennen and Heather Voyles; and 15 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Rosemary Seago and Bonnie Brown; three brothers-in-law: Herbert Yarbrough, Dale Seago and James Brown; and a granddaughter: Julie Bennett.
A funeral service was held Nov. 18 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Ryan Johnston. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 63132. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
