Dorothy I. Missey, 78, of De Soto died Aug. 27, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Missey worked for many years at the De Soto Rexall Drug, and worked for Dee-Gees Market and the De Soto Walmart. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Born April 9, 1938, in Lemay, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (King) Bradford.
She is survived by her husband: Charles “Charlie” Missey of De Soto; four children: Laura (William A.) Duffner of De Soto, Edward Missey of De Soto, Joe (Jenny) Missey of De Soto and Chrissy (Jason Barbey) Hedrick of De Soto; six siblings: Glenda Thompson of De Soto, Norma Adney of De Soto, Ruth Ann Becker of Farmington, Kathy Gegg of Festus, Becky Rhineberger of Festus and Michael Bradford of De Soto; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward Bradford and Dennis Sanders.
A memorials service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
