Whiteside, Doris

Doris Marie Wideman Whiteside, 82, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Festus, died Jan 3, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Whiteside was retired from Moore, Hill, and Westmoreland law firm and had been an independent sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics for the past 25 years. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church in Pensacola for 52 years, and was a retired Sunday school teacher. She was born Aug. 10, 1937, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Amuel Vivian “Emil” and Katheryn Belle “Kate” (Moore) Wideman.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Bud Whiteside; a son: Wesley (Tracy) Whiteside; a daughter: Lynda (Jerry) Barnes; five grandchildren: Anna Barnes, Joshua Barnes, Katheryn Whiteside, Michael Whiteside and Gabriel Whiteside; three brothers: Don (Marian) Wideman of Kansas City, Bob (Julia) Wideman of St. Louis and John (Karen) Wideman of Festus; two sisters-in-law: Wilma Wideman and Jeanne LeFlore Wideman; 17 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law: Earnie Cook.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Nadine Wideman Cook; and two brothers: Bill Wideman and Charles Wideman.

A funeral service will be held Jan. 9 at East Brent Baptist Church in Pensacola. Arrangements are under the direction of Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Pensacola.
