Doris A. Schneider, 79, of Barnhart died Dec. 16, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Mrs. Schneider was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Imperial. She was also a volunteer hospice care provider and led multiple church and school fundraisers, including making rosaries and donating homemade crafts. She enjoyed growing flowers with her family. Born Aug. 9, 1942, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Anna Belle (Byington) and Lee Henry Aubuchon.
She is survived by her husband: Oliver Schneider; two daughters: Terri (Robert) Beattie of Old Monroe and Karen (Patrick) Malone of Arnold; two sons: James Schneider of Overland and Matt (Susan) Schneider of Fenton; 10 grandchildren: Emily Neels, Amanda (William) Bryan, Brandi (Chris) Cleland, Kelly Schneider, John Schneider, Jacob Schneider, Madelyn Schneider, Oliver Malone, Abigayle Malone and Kiera Malone; seven great-grandchildren: Vanessa, Dominick and Landon Ely, Kathryn and Virginia Neels, Rowan Hammond and Bertram Bryan; a great-great-grandson: Mason Ely; two sisters: Linda (Gerald) Umbdenstock of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Annalee Aubuchon of Port Clinton, Ohio; and a brother: Anthony E. “Tony” (Linda) Aubuchon of Olympian Village.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Sharon (the late Terry) Flieg and Ruth Ann Aubuchon; and a brother: Kenneth L. Aubuchon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road, in Imperial, officiated by Father Rich Coerver. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
