Donna Lee Bernard, 64, of De Soto died Oct. 20, 2017, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mrs. Bernard was a machine operator who enjoyed gardening, taking care of animals and going to yard sales. Born Dec. 4, 1951, in Kansas City, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Mary Amundson and David Lee Flinn. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter E. Bernard Sr.
She is survived by two brothers: David (LeAnn) Flinn of Troy and Patrick (Susan) Flinn of Marshall; two sisters: Diana (Randy) Frogue of Mount Vernon and Debra (Harold) Cotter of Springfield; a stepbrother: James (Bridget) Schall of Mount Vernon; three stepsisters: Gail Guess of Aurora, Sherry (Larry) Hammers of Springfield and Bonnie Fucett of Aurora; her stepmother: Royetta Flinn of Aurora; an adopted family: Robert and Connie Fudge and family of De Soto; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Sue Ellen Alley.
Funeral services and burial were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
