Donald W. Wilson, 86, of Festus died Aug. 16, 2017, at his home. Mr. Wilson was a retired crane operator with Mississippi Lime Co. in Ste. Genevieve. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks. Born Aug. 18, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve, he was the son of the late Lena (Meyer) and Wilbert “Pat” Wilson. He is survived by his wife: Melba J. (Cadwallader) Edwards Wilson.
He is also survived by a son: Craig (Kimberlie) Wilson of Jackson; a daughter: Belinda (Charles) Mueller of Cape Girardeau; two stepchildren: Chris (Vickie) Edwards of Oklahoma City and Tammy (Chris) Linderer of Crystal City; two sisters: Dorma of Ste. Genevieve and Mary (Keith) Childers of St. Louis; four grandchildren: Miranda Thomure, DeAnn Byrd, Aaron (Leigha) Thomure and Zach (Katie) Wilson; four stepgrandchildren: Lindsey and Cole Linderer and Shannon (Jeremy) and Brian (Kimberlea) Edwards; nine great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a daughter: Nileen (the late Larry) Thomure; a stepdaughter, Melisa Edwards; three sisters: Olive Scherer, Pat Bierschwal and Rose Lee Keller; and a brother-in-law: Carl Okenfuss.
A gathering will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3551 Hwy. 61, in Festus, followed immediately by a memorial service officiated by the Rev. Karen Tutak.
