Donald L. Carrow Sr., 79, of Farmington died July 16, 2018, at the Evelyn’s House hospice facility in Creve Coeur. Mr. Carrow was retired after 32 years as an iron worker with Iron Workers Union Local 396 in St. Louis. He was an avid bass fisherman and the founder and former owner of Crock-O-Gator Lure Co. Born Nov. 17, 1938, in Festus, he was the son of the late Carrie Bernice (Luther) and Edwin Louis Carrow.

He is survived by his companion: Rosa Lee (Meade) Holland; one daughter: Tina (Keith) Carrow-Veir of Katy, Texas; three sons: Donald (Bev) Carrow Jr. of Doe Run, Ricky (Mary) Carrow of Manchester, Ohio, and Brian Carrow of Farmington; one sister: Wanda Fay (the late Clarence) Watson of Festus; one brother: Virgil Lloyd “Butch” (Pat) Carrow of Valle Lake; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law: Regina Carrow of Farmington; and his beloved four legged friends: Baby and Blackie.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Kathy Carrow; one step-daughter: Laura Williams; three brothers: Clyde Eugene “Bud” Carrow, Robert “Joe” (the late Aileen) Carrow and Harold Edwin Carrow; and two sisters: Emogene Joan (Mike) Schmidt and Patricia Marie Bowling.

A memorial gathering will be from 5 p.m. until the memorial services at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Brother Robert Adams. Memorials may be made to Evelyn’s House, 1000 N. Mason Road, Creve Coeur, 63141. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
