Donald Eugene Riffe Jr., 59, Barnhart
Donald Eugene Riffe Jr., 59, of Barnhart died Jan. 20, 2022. Mr. Riffe served in the U.S. Army from 1982-1992 and later was a Criminal Investigation Command (CID) special agent and retired as RAC of the Fairview Heights Field Office. He was the Jefferson College Chief of Police for the past three years, and he was the lead firearms instructor for the college’s Police Academy. He was born in Beckley, W.Va., the son of Juanita Louise (Morrison) and Donald Eugene Riffe Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Jeannie Riffe.
He is survived by three children: Joshua D. (Trista) Riffe, Kaitlin M. (Luke) Uding and Kara N. Riffe; two siblings: Tamarha (Keith) Evert and Brian (Linda) Riffe; three grandchildren: Hailey and Liam Riffe and Ava Uding; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 2) at Fey Funeral Home, 4100 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the BackStoppers, P.O.
