Donald A. Chandler, 54, of Dittmer died Jan. 21, 2019. Mr. Chandler was a carpenter with Gateway Door. Born June 1, 1964, in St. Louis, he was the son of Lillian (Apenbrinck) Chandler of Crystal City and the late Donald Arthur Chandler.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Susan (Laratta) Chandler of Dittmer; a daughter: Angela (Nathan) Denman of Clarksville, Tenn.; four siblings: Cynthia (David) Cullen of De Soto, Shari (Richard) Boyer of De Soto, Debra (Donald) Hose of Arnold and Pamela (Michael) Perez of Imperial; a sister-in-law: Joyce Laratta of De Soto; one granddaughter: Nevaeh Denman; and his mother-in-law: Charlotte Laratta of De Soto.
A memorial gathering is at 2 p.m. and a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Dan Handschy. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
