Dolores A. Dupree, 85, of Arnold died March 8, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Dupree worked as a full-time secretary to three Arnold mayors. After retirement, she worked part time at Famous-Barr department store. She was a member of St. David's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and the Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers. She was born Oct. 5, 1931, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Bertha (Wieter) and Gustave Rohde. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: William O. Dupree.
She is survived by two daughters: Michele Young and Laura (Tom) Beach, both of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Kris) Tucker of Hillsboro, Jeremy (Khrista) Young of Pevely, Nick (Gina) Dittmann of Crystal City, Johnny (Sarah) Dittmann of Arnold, Joshua (Grace) Dittmann of Oceanside, Calif., Michael (Miranda) Dittmann of Collinsville, Ill., and Lauren Beach of Arnold; eight great-grandchildren: Elijah, Noah and Lillia Tucker and Vanessa, Mallory, Isaac, Adam and Titus Dittmann.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandson: Daniel Dittmann Jr.
A funeral service was held March 13 at St. David’s Catholic Church. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
