Dixie L. Dixon, 81, of Pevely died March 8, 2018, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City. Mrs. Dixon was a saleswoman for Woolsworth and a member of the Festus Church of the Nazarene. Born Dec. 19, 1936, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ellen (Fromm) and Edward Helms.
She is survived by two sons: Steven (Jane) Dixon of Hillsboro and Kevin (Tammy) Dixon of Valles Mines; four brothers: Fred (Sandy) Helms of Pevely, Charles (Sherry) Helms, Karl Helms of Desloge and Bill (Katherine) Helms of Farmington; five grandchildren: Lori Dixon of Pevely, Tara (Nathan) Swafford of Festus, Shane (Maggie) Dixon of Ontario, Canada, Mari (Kyle) Porter of Farmington and Alyssa (Eric) Yoder of Park Hills; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: James Dixon; and a sister-in-law: Gwen Helms.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the funeral home, Pastor Terry Simpkins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
