Dimple Mae Talley, 101, of Arnold died Dec. 15, 2016, in St. Louis County. Mrs. Talley was a homemaker. Born April 15, 1915, in Middle, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Soloman and Izora (Smith) Parnell. She was preceded in death by her husband: Damon F. Talley.
She is survived by a son: Frank (Carol) Talley of Arnold; a daughter: Marilyn Largent; seven grandchildren: Tim (Colleen) Erxleben, Gary Erxleben, Mike (Chris) Erxleben, Philip (Diane) Holmes, Keith (Rhonda) Holmes, Angela (Tim) Wilson and Damon L. (Tracey) Talley; 19 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; a sibling: Delphia Parsons of Greenfield, Ind.; and a son-in-law: Les Erxleben.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Carrow Parnell, Eckless Parnell and Clint Parnell; two sisters: Ella Wade and Thelma Poetz; and two daughters: Connie Erxleben and infant Ilene Talley.
A funeral service was held Dec. 20 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold, officiated by the Rev. Jackson Watts. Burial was in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
