Diane George, 78, of Festus died Oct. 22, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. George was a homemaker and caregiver who enjoyed sewing and serving her community by working with her church food and clothing bank. Born June 28, 1942, in McDougal, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Violet and Olan Powell. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Eulis Tucker and Norman George.
She is survived by two sons: Mark (Robin) Mcleod of Festus and Craig (Lynette) Mcleod of Moscow Mills; a brother: Arvil Carter of Montana; seven grandchildren: Christopher, Caleb, Marc, Kinnith, Trey, Craig, and Lyndsay; 18 great-grandchildren: Micah, Ryan, Hanna, Keria, Lilith, Kai, Regan, Eegan, Bella, Raylee, Grayson, Tanner, Makenzie, Aidan, Emmet, Jonathon, Keith and Silklyn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Sharon Rasberry Ruby Britton and Roberta Hendrickson.
A funeral service was held Oct. 24 at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning, Ark., officiated by the Rev. Wayne Baldwin. Burial was in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, Ark. Arrangements were under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home.
