Dewain Clair Smith, 86, of Bellview died Oct. 1, 2019, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Born July 13, 1933, in Alpena, Mich., he was the son of the late Bethel and Denetta (Schultz) Smith.
He is survived by five children: Stewart Smith, Jeffery Smith, Denetta Watson, Gwen Smith, Annette (Rick) Carsten; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Donna Smith; and a son-in-law: Terry Watson.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Park Hills.
