Dennis W. Johnson, 66, of De Soto died May 31, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mr. Johnson was a truck driver for Taylor Crane and a member of Teamsters Local 682.
Born Jan. 29, 1954, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Henry “Earl” and Mora Belle (Kelley) Johnson.
He is survived by his wife: Marla (Merz) Johnson of De Soto; two children: Mike (Shaunna) Linton of De Soto and Rhonda Linton of Orlando, Fla.; five siblings: Mae Nosser, Karen (Tony) Branson, Betty Moorman, Donald (Tina) Johnson and David (Debra) Johnson; six grandchildren: Brittany, Kristen, Seth, Rhyannen, Emma and Alehsyn; and three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Willow and Aleena,
He was preceded in death by a sister: Lorene White; a brother: Vernon Johnson; and two brothers-in-law: Del Nosser and Harry White.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today (June 5) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at the funeral home, officiated by Brother Carl McKalip. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
