Dennis “Denny” Allen Baugus, 76, of Cedar Hill died Dec. 7, 2019. Mr. Baugus liked to shoot guns, attend shooting matches and make shotgun chokes. He was born Jan. 8, 1943, in Manila, Ark., the son of the late LaVerne (Spence) and Hubert Baugus.
He is survived by his wife: Dean (Dill) Baugus; three daughters: Kathy Gross and Beth (Mike) McCormick, both of Cedar Hill, and Melissa Ruggeri of High Ridge; seven grandchildren: Travis (Elisha) Vogt, Sarah (Daniel) Doenges, Jessica (Brian) Wohldmann, Vanessa (Josh) Scruggs, Monica (Daniel) Kistler, Andy McCormick and Deanna Baugus; eight great-grandchildren: Fisher, Colton, David, Elliott, Alex, Stephen, Eden and Fiona; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Bruce Baugus.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 12, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill, followed immediately by funeral services. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago IL 60674. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
