Dennis B. “Bubba” Green, 77, of Festus died Jan. 4, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Town and Country. Mr. Green worked with his father for many years with “Bill Green and Son Produce” in Pevely and with the Jefferson County Parks Department. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Amvets Post 42 in Herculaneum. Born Nov. 16, 1943, in Jefferson Barracks, he was the son of the late William Edward “Bill” and Marie Cornelia (Lexa) Green.
He is survived by his wife: Marilyn (Akins) Green; two sons: Dennis Green of De Soto and Jeff (Cathryn) Green of Festus; a daughter: Denise (Paul) Svoboda of Edwardsville, Ill.; two sisters: Rosemarie (Donald) Hinrichs of Freeburg, Ill., and Madelin (the late Kenneth) Martin of Pevely; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by the Rev. Terry Crank. Burial is in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Pevely. Memorials may be made to Amvets Post 42. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
