Delores Anna Dixon, 93, of Crystal City died June 25, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Dixon was a longtime secretary to the principal at Crystal City High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City. Born Jan. 9, 1923, in Beaufort, she was the daughter of the late Sophia (Kampschmidt) and William Hoemann. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul R. Dixon.
She is survived by a daughter: Kathleen (Bill Cornett) Graham of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren: James Graham, Sara (Hans) Westermark and Jenny Graham; and nine great-grandchildren: Jessica, Alyssa, Sophia, Austin, Aiden, Fallon, Presley, Keira and Graham.
She was preceded in death by a son: Paul Thomas Dixon; a brother: Woodrow (the late Lucille) Hoemann; and two sisters: Lucille (the late Barney) Barnhart and Helen (the late Bill) Davis.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 220 Brierton Lane, in Crystal City, officiated by Pastor Jarold Rux. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
