Deborah Ann (Steinfeld) Hefner, 52, of Carrabelle, Fla., formerly of Hillsboro, died April 17, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Hefner started her career in banking, then retired early to travel and host at recreation vehicle parks and national forest campgrounds. She was of the Catholic faith. Her travels included snorkeling in the Caribbean, hiking across Alaskan glaciers and the Grand Canyon, parasailing and skydiving. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was born Oct. 20, 1968, in St. Louis.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years: Dennis Anthony Hefner; a daughter: Stephanie Nicole Steinfeld of Fenton; two brothers: John (Donna) Steinfeld of High Ridge and Joe Steinfeld of High Ridge; two grandchildren: Layla Hasenfratz of Cedar Hill and Brody Steinfeld of Fenton; a niece: Jennifer Steinfeld of High Ridge; two longtime friends: Ray and Jane Koenig and their children: Kelly (Nicholas) Sargent, Rachel (Codey) Carlton and Aaron Koenig and grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in Fenton at a later date.
