David Wayne Blucker, 72, St. Louis

David Wayne Blucker, 72, of St. Louis died March 15, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Blocker graduated from Festus High School and then served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Sculpin (SSN 590) and was awarded four medals with two bronze stars. He worked for 27 years as a systems analyst for the city of St. Louis. He enjoyed his years in retirement as captain of the Tadaima, as well as riding his bikes, gardening and spending time with family members and friends. He was a community servant and volunteered at the Carondelet Living Food Pantry and other charitable organizations. Born Jan. 23, 1950, he was the son of the late Jack and Ruby Blucker.

He was survived by three siblings: Ken (Sandy) Blucker, Gary (Shelly) Blucker and Jackie (Gilbert) Shadowens; four nieces and nephews: Ron (Heather) Moritz, Mike (Michelle) Blucker, Deanna Nash and Logan Blucker; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Steve Blucker; a sister: Sandy Moritz; and a nephew: Ryan Moritz.

Private services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or the Carondelet Living Food Pantry.
