David Schutte, 75, of De Soto died July 18, 2018, at his home. Mr. Schutte was the manager of a retail grocery store. He was also a member of De Soto Amvets 48 and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. He enjoyed playing cards and board games, going to the casino and watching TV. Born Dec. 7, 1942, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Michael and Lucinda (Missey) Schutte.
He is survived by his wife: Ronda (Davis) Schutte of De Soto; one son: Kevin (Lesa) Schutte of Bonne Terre, one daughter: Kris (Kenny) Northcutt of De Soto; two stepsons: Shane (Margaret) Kuykendall of Festus and Josh Kuykendall of St. Louis; one brother: Glenn (Nadine) Schutte of De Soto; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Pinson and Rosalie Pinson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., in De Soto, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 324 Second St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
