David Robert Eisenhauer, 46, died March 24, 2017. Mr. Eisenhauer was baptized at St. David Catholic Church in Arnold, where he also was confirmed. He attended Rockport Elementary and Fox High schools. As a youngster, he served as an altar boy and participated in Boy Scouts. A musical prodigy, he could play virtually any instrument without formal training at an early age. His passion for music led to a career as a live sound mixer, studio engineer, producer, writer and front-of-house engineer who helmed tours for Bon Jovi, Paul Simon, Sheryl Crow and many others since the early 1990s. He also was a sports aficionado who followed the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues and Rams. He was a voracious reader, enjoying both fiction and nonfiction best sellers. His motto was “Have a good time, all the time.”

Born Jan. 17, 1971, he was the son of the late Robert John and Helene Ann (Immer) Eisenhauer.

He is survived by two siblings: Christine (Geoffrey) Murray and Michael (Sara) Eisenhauer; five nieces and nephews: Ethan and Marcella Murray and Elizabeth, Avery and Jordan Eisenhauer; aunts and uncles William (Betty) Immer, Thomas Immer, Joseph (Marilyn) Immer and Therese Schulte; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by an aunt: Margaret “Maurie” O’Haara.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. today, March 30, at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa, in St. Louis. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary.
