David Lee Foster, 72, of Imperial died Nov. 27, 2020, at the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis. Mr. Foster was a successful business owner in the Jefferson County area and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial. He owned and operated Dura-Seal Paving Contracting in Barnhart, and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, working, and spending time with his family and friends. An active member of the community, he was a member of the Elks Lodge 1721, the American Legion and Amvets, and served on the board of directors for First State Community Bank. He was born Aug. 8, 1948, in St. Louis, the son of Patricia Ann (Shocklee) Foster of Festus and the late Calvin Lee Foster.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son: Christopher Foster of Imperial; a daughter: Christine (Bobby) Prince; five grandchildren: Madeline Foster, Brittany Foster, Jake Prince, Jordan Prince and Jack Prince; four great-grandchildren: Kaylie Beelman, Brayden Beelman, Owen Beelman and Graeme Prince; three sisters: Karen Marie Foster of Festus, Jean (Charles) Miller of Barnhart and Judith Ann (Hal) Cart of Des Peres; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services were private. Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center, 1001 Highlands Plaza Drive West, Suite 140 St. Louis, 63110-1337. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
