David Gary Cathey, 60, of Festus died May 31, 2018, at his home. Mr. Cathey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a manager for Sunnyside and Colonial West apartments in Festus. Born Dec. 17, 1957, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Janet (Henry) Cathey and Robert Cathey of Pevely.
He is survived in death by his former wife and best friend: Jeanne (Marler) Cathey of Festus; a daughter: Tiffany Garcia of Columbia; a brother-in-law: John Garrison of Warrenton; and numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Leslie Marie Cathey; and two sisters: Ruby Fern Garrison and Jennie Cathey.
Services are private. Memorials may be made to the Pony Bird Home, 1 Pony Bird Lane, Mapaville 63065. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
