Darlene A. Bremer, 82, of Hillsboro died June 4, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mrs. Bremer was an administrative assistant for the Jefferson County Building Commission and for the Children’s House. She was a library aide at Hillsboro Primary School and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto. Born July 8, 1939, in Evansville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Ruth (Heuman) Kueker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Bremer.
She is survived by three children: Kelly (Blaine) Whitehead of Hillsboro, Brian (Beverly) Bremer of St. Louis and Kevin (Connie) Bremer of Festus; a brother: Donald (the late Paulette) Kueker of Red Bud, Ill.; 10 grandchildren: Katie, Scott, Andy, Josh, Zach, Rachel, Emily, Adam, Joseph and Matthew; and eight great-grandchildren: Dakota, Chase, Kyla, Tyler, Tucker, Kinsley, Brayden and Weston.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Mary (the late James) McConachie; a brother: Lloyd Dean Kueker; and a great-grandchild: Gwyneth.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Dr. G. Michael Rose. Burial is in the Hillsboro City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd St., De Soto 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
