Daniel R. Burgess, 53, of De Soto, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sept. 6, 2016, in Festus. Mr. Burgess was a custodian with the Hillsboro R-3 School District. He was born June 26, 1963, the son of the late Marion F. and Mary Ellen Elizabeth (Kelso) Burgess.
He is survived by five siblings: Terry W. Burgess, Ron Burgess, Larry Burgess, Tim Burgess and Martin Burgess; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Sept. 12 at Sunset Memorial Park in St. Louis. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
