Daniel Lee “Hoss” Holly, 54, of Festus died Aug. 22, 2014, at his home. Mr. Holly was a retired sales person in fencing and decking. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1721 in Crystal City and the Eagles in Mattoon, Ill. He loved football, especially the Green Bay Packers, and served as an official with the Ohio Valley Conference Division 1. Born Jan. 13, 1960, in Abilene, Texas, he was the son of the late Wilson and Fontaine (Cox) Holly.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Partney) Holly of Festus; one son: Josh (Monica) Lawrence of Union; two daughters: Blair Holly of Schaumburg, Ill., and Jessica Lawrence of Tampa, Fla.; a brother: Stacey (Barbara) Holly of League City, Texas; one grandson: Jordan; two nephews: Joe and Nick; one niece, Robin; and his dog, Lambeau.
Funeral services were held Aug. 26 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Virgil Kelm. Burial was private. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
