Dale Francis Covington Jr., 69, of Cannon Falls, Minn., died Jan. 8, 2021, in Rochester, Minn. Mr. Covington was born in Crystal City, the son of the late Juanita Valera (Langston) and Dale Francis Covington Sr. He graduated from Crystal City High School in 1969 and went on to attend North Central University in Minneapolis. For most of his career, he worked in the automotive industry, including Polar Chevrolet and Tousley Ford, both in White Bear Lake, Minn., Harry Browns Chevrolet in Faribault, Minn., and Clements Chevrolet in Rochester, Minn. He had an impeccable work ethic and a positive attitude, and made a difference in the many lives he touched. He was an active member of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, serving as an ambassador, as well as a member of the Cannon Falls Chamber of Commerce and Business Networking International (BNI).
He is survived by his wife: Linda Covington; two children: Amy and Matthew; one grandchild:
Nikki; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Tamera; a sister: Faith Bollinger; and many other loved ones and pets.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, Minn., officiated by Pastor Scott Wildenberg. Burial is in the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Lundberg Funeral Home.
