Cole Michael West, 35, of Imperial died June 7, 2020, in St. Louis. Mr. West worked for Boeing Aircraft. A 2003 graduate of Fox High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry and later earned an electrical engineering degree at St. Louis University. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, camping, taking care of his bearded dragon and spending time with family. Born May 19, 1985, in Farmington, he was the son of Todd Alan and Theresa Renee (West) Strong of Imperial.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children: Ava, Malia and Cash West of Barnhart; a brother: Zachary Strong of Imperial; a sister: Heather (Brantley) Byrd of Wildwood; six aunts: Janet (West) Sebring, Carol (West) Lawrence, Mary Pat West, Annie West, Brenda West and Marie Strong; two uncles: Greg Strong and Bob Sebring; two nephews: Liam and Leyton; his maternal grandmother: Theresa West of Imperial; his paternal grandfather: Ralph Strong of Mehlville; the mother of his children: Allison Cashel West of Barnhart; his “bonus” grandparents: Joyce Strange of Potosi and Jerry Little of Jackson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Stanley H. West and Emily Jane Strong; four uncles: Stan, Garry, Larry and Jerry West; and “bonus” grandparents Rolla Strange and Myrna Little.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday (June 18) at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday (June 19) at the funeral home, officiated by David M. Donoso. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. A celebration of his life will be held later. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
