Clifford Lawrence AuBuchon, 68, Festus

Clifford Lawrence AuBuchon, 68, of Festus died March 27, 2023, at his home. Mr. AuBuchon served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in June 2017. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and enjoyed playing his guitar. He also enjoyed being outdoors, camping, trout fishing and meticulously maintaining his yard. He will be remembered for his gentle soul and his sense of humor. Born Jan. 19, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Jeanette (Pashia) and Emmett AuBuchon.

He is survived by his wife: Denise E. (Mengwasser) AuBuchon of Festus, whom he married May 21, 1983.

He also is survived by two sisters: Louise (Wayne) Campbell and Joyce (John) Beaird; a brother-in-law: John Lilly; two nieces and two nephews; and three great-nieces and three great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara A. Lilly and Donna M. AuBuchon.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at Basler Funeral Home, 685 Center Drive, in Ste. Genevieve, with Pastor John Beaird officiating, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home.
