Cletis Edward Anderson, 91, of Otto died June 8, 2017, in De Soto. Mr. Anderson was a pipefitter for the Laclede Gas Co., served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a board member of Highcrest United Methodist Church. Born Sept. 23, 1925, in Corridon, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Bessie E. (Randolph) Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Bonnie R. Anderson; two sons: Calvin Anderson and Mark (Rose) Anderson; a stepson: Robert (Bob) Bowen; a stepdaughter: Phyllis Bowen; six grandchildren: Michael Bowen, Michelle (Ken) Doublin, Tony Bowen, Amanda (Tony) Vaughn, Jennifer Anderson and David Anderson; nine great-grandchildren: Austin, Amber, Aubri, Kayla and AJ Bowen, Dominic and Carly Doublin and Jacob and Kailyn Vaughn; and a sister: Maud Dobrinic.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Virgil and Winford Anderson; and two sisters: Dorothy Allen and Kathleen Hulesbusch.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, June 12 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery, Barnhart.
