Christopher Eric Vance, 31, formerly of Festus, died Jan. 28, 2019, in Chesterfield. Mr. Vance was a supervisor with Charter Communications. Born May 24, 1987, in Festus, he was the son of Ricky and Jane (Corssen) Vance of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister: Katie Vance of Festus; a niece: Calista; his grandmother: Lee Corssen of Doe Run; three uncles: Scott Vance of De Soto, Bill Corssen of Festus and James Corssen of Doe Run; three aunts: Wanda Letterman of Bonne Terre, Jennifer Zelt of Doe Run and Wendy Corssen of Festus; a special friend: Rachel VanCleave; and a life-long friend: Andy Borawski.
He was preceded in death by three grandparents: Charles and June Vance and James "Pops" Corssen; an aunt: Angela Vance; and two uncles: David Vance and Jake Corssen.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. and a funeral service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Randy Casey. Burial is in the Four Seasons Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
