Cheryl P. Johnson, 67, of Festus died Feb. 21, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was a retired accountant and bookkeeper for General Candy Co. in St. Louis and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. Born Dec. 13, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Enid “Eloise” (Crew) and Charles F. Flecke.
She is survived by her husband: Leonard “Michael” Johnson; two daughters: Christine N. (Kyle) Brewer of Festus and Michelle C. Johnson of Festus; two sons: Steven A. Lockwood II of Farmington and Jason E. Lockwood of Hillsboro; two stepchildren: Michael Johnson of Festus and Teal (Greg) Moore of Farmington; two brothers: Charles (Joyce) Flecke of St. Louis and Bradford Flecke of Festus; a sister-in-law: Mary Flecke of Crystal City; nine grandchildren: Kyle D. (Jessica) Brewer, Amber C. Brewer, Steven A. Lockwood III, Dustin Lockwood, Molly Lockwood, Aubree Hall, Catherine Hanson, William “Paul” Hanson and Sam Moore; and four great-grandchildren: Hadley, Ana, Landon and Ryleigh.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard (the late Catherine) Flecke and Reginald Flecke; and a stepson: Jeffery A. Johnson.
Funeral Mass was held Feb. 27 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Father Clark Maes. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
