Charles Tom Roper, 75, of Festus died Jan. 19, 2021, at his home. Mr. Roper served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Teamsters Local 604. He enjoyed classic cars and attending car shows, his cats, retirement and spending time with his family. Born Sept. 19, 1945, in Eldorado, Ill., he was the son of the late Charles and Marian (Wallace) Roper.
He is survived by his wife: Sandi (Corbitt) Roper; a son: Jeff (Cuiping) Roper of Crystal City; a stepson: Dan Lamson of St. Louis; a stepdaughter: Juliana (Jeff) Chaney of House Springs; a sister: Francie Roper of Springfield; and three grandchildren: Lisa Roper, Sara Roper and Grace Chaney.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
