Charles R. ‘Chuck’ Cherry, 80, Festus

Charles R. “Chuck” Cherry, 80, of Festus died July 2, 2016, at his home. Mr. Cherry was a retired machinist for Lockheed-Martin Aircraft and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Born Sept. 19, 1935, in Little Rock, Ark., he was the son of Charles and Lois (Nelson) Cherry.

He is survived by his wife: Rosemary (Summerfield) Cherry; three daughters: Rudeana (Dennis) Kirk of Palm Coast, Fla., Robin DeWalt of St. Louis and Stephanie (Kent) Andrews of St. Augustine, Fla.; a son: Allen (Victoria) Cherry of Washington; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by the Rev. Don Bahr. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
