Charles Oliver Lamb, 69, of Gore, Okla., died April 13, 2021, in Chester, Ill. Mr. Lamb was retired from the Cherokee Nation where he designed highways, and he was proud of his Native American Cherokee Heritage. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, swimming, shooting guns and drawing. Born Sept. 3, 1951, in Muskogee, Okla., he was the son of the late John Weldon and Betty Lou (Sellers) Lamb.
He is survived by his wife: Carol Kay (Connor) Lamb of Gore, Okla.; a son: David (Mary) Sebastian of De Soto; four daughters: Misty Lamb, Angela Lamb and Lavonda (Rob) Skala, all of Oklahoma, and Melissa (Rickey Cain) Downs of Blackwell; three brothers: Jack Lamb, Donnie (Renne) Lamb and Clifford Lamb, all of Oklahoma; a sister: Deb Andrews of Oklahoma; a stepmother: Delores Lamb of Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a son: T.J. Sebastian.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday (April 19) at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
