Charles Henry Baechle, 93, of St. Louis died Feb. 10, 2021. Mr. Baechle and his late wife owned Plastic Veneers Inc., opening the business in 1956. The business and their home on Telegraph Road in south St. Louis County were destroyed in the flood of 1993, but they survived the setback, moving to another house and relocating the business to Arnold. They were members of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in south St. Louis County. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, laughing, drinking cocktails and dancing. Born in Ste. Genevieve, Mr. Baechle was the son of the late Henry and Odile (Fallert) Baechle.
He also was preceded in death by his wife: Sylvia (Kreitler) Baechle.
He is survived by nine children: Wayne (Valorie) Baechle, Dale (Marsha) Baechle, Melinda (Jeff) LaHay, Randy (Suzy) Baechle, John Baechle, Ronald (Mary) Baechle, Thomas (Denise) Baechle, Michael (Kim) Baechle and Darin Baechle; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a sibling: Sister Anthony Baechle; and numerous other friends and family.
He also was preceded in death by a sister: Sally Santoyo.
A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday (March 6) at Queen of All Saints Church, 6603 Christopher Drive, in south St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to Monastery of Saint Clare.
