Charles Edward “Chuck” Yount, 64, of Festus died Dec. 25, 2021, at his home. Mr. Yount was a cement technician in the construction industry. He loved to hunt and fish in his free time and enjoyed going on cruises. Born Dec. 30, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of Eula Marie (Vannoy) Yount of Festus and the late Donald E. Yount.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Denise (Litton) Yount of Festus; three sons: Jeremiah (Shannon) Yount of Festus, Joshua Yount of Festus and Charles “Ed” Yount Jr. of Florissant; two sisters: Barb (Larry) Gebhardt of Festus and Debbie (Ron) Lathium of St. Louis County, and four grandchildren: Logan Yount, Autumn Yount, Kylah Yount and Keeley Murphy.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Father Vic Karls. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangement are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
