Carron, Carroll

Carroll Richard Carron, 89, of Festus died July 31, 2021, at Brook Haven Health Care in West Plains. Mr. Carron served in the U.S. Navy and was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Korean Service Medal. He worked in the box shop at PPG in Crystal City and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3777. Born Feb. 28, 1932, in Bloomsdale, he was the son of the late Carroll William and Freida (Basler) Carron.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Mary Amanda Carron of Festus; five children: Kim Carron of Sebring, Fla., Kenny (Melody) Carron of Pensacola, Fla., Kevin Carron of Festus, Carol Lee (Penny) Guard of Forsyth and adopted daughter Debbie (Bobby) Walker of West Plains; a sister: Peggy Fisher of Ste. Genevieve; 12 grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Kay Carron; a son: Keith Carron; a sister: Elfrieda Fisher; and two brothers-in-law: Les Fisher and Ralph Fisher.

A graveside service was held Aug. 2 at St. Agnes Catholic Church Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
