Carol Joyce Cautrell, 75, of Festus died March 9, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Cautrell was born Oct. 25, 1946, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Lucille (Wickerham) and Carl Courtois.
She is survived by her husband: Richard Cautrell; two sons: Keith (Dawn) Cautrell of Hillsboro and Kevin (Abagail) Cautrell of Collinsville, Ill.; four grandchildren: Brendan Cautrell, Emily (Mateusz) Prusaczyk, Justin Spencer and Kaitlyn Dwiggins; three great-grandchildren: Iylah Prusaczyk, Liam Prusaczyk and Bella Birchfield; a sister: Janet (the late Eldon) Hayes of Festus; and two brothers: Carl (Geneva) Courtois of Festus and Terry (Judy) Courtois of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Walter (Juanita survives of Crystal City) Courtois, Gary (Patsy survives of De Soto) Courtois and Dale Courtois.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
