Carol Jean Linhorst, 72, of St. Louis died Dec. 1, 2022, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Linhorst was a controller for CPI Corp. in St. Louis. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson. Born Feb. 15, 1950, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Meta (Schulz) and Melvin Ernest Linhorst.
She is survived by a son: Michael (Sharon) Vreeland of St. Louis; two daughters: Tammy (Demetrius) Hester of St. Louis and Delilah (Jonathan) Mar of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; a sister: Susan (Anthony) Clark of St. Louis; three brothers: Don (Ann) Linhorst of Glen Carbon, Ill., Larry (Peggy) Linhorst of Hillsboro and Mark (Cathy) Linhorst of Festus; four grandchildren: Alex and Sarah Vreeland, Christopher Mar and Courtney Hester; and a great-grandson: Kingston Hester.
Memorial gathering will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church, 123 Carson Road, in Ferguson, immediately followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Larry Lemke. Memorials may be made to Feed My Starving Children via Zion Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes.
