Carol F. Mooney, 74, of Festus died Jan. 10, 2014, at her home. She drove a bus for the Mapaville State School and was a member of Radiant Life Church in Festus.
She was born March 7, 1939, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late William and Irene (Daum) Schneider.
She is survived by her husband, William Mooney; a son, Bill (Rena) Mooney of Imperial; three daughters: Tammy (Edward) Holst of Bloomsdale; Debbie (John) Barton of Festus; and Karen (Tony) Betancourt of Bonne Terre; three sisters: Jeannie (Roy) Ilert of Dupo, Ill.; Janet (Bob) Van Hoose of Columbia, Ohio; and Linda (Jimmy) Siner of Dupo; a sister-in-law, Fran Schneider of St. Louis; eight grandchildren: Travis, Chad, Dana, Shannon, Megan, Chuck, Heather and Matt; and six great-grandchildren: Madison, Nolan, Gavin, Sophia, Chaz and Kane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: William Schneider and Norman Schneider; and a sister, Irene Huber.
Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, Festus, with a memorial service officiated by Randy Gray following.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus.
