Carmel Lee Prater, 73, of House Springs died March 17, 2023. Mr. Prater loved music and playing guitar, visiting with his family. He will be remembered for his giving heart and donated to his church often. Born Aug. 15, 1949, in Salem, he was the son of the late Lenora Mary (Martin) Prater and Lowell Carmel.
He is survived by a brother: Jerry (Kathy) Prater; two nephews: John Prater and David Prater; and numerous family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Private burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
