Brittany Caitlyn Steffens, 20, of Barnhart died Sept. 26, 2016, in Barnhart. Ms. Steffens was an office assistant for a heating and cooling company. A 2015 graduate of Seckman High School, she enjoyed drama, hula hoops, face painting, balloon art, and working at the Creepyworld haunted house. Born May 22, 1996, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Michael S. and Donna (English) Steffens of Barnhart.
She is survived by seven siblings: Michael, Robert, James, Tasha, Christopher and Sara Steffens and Danielle (Daniel) Gassner; five aunts: Gloria Huddleston, JoAnn Kaufman, Hope Rush, Patricia Burns and Sheila Thurman; an uncle: Joseph Muhs; and a grandmother: Marie Muhs.
She was preceded in death by an aunt: Debra Parks; and her grandparents: Arthur and Catherine Steffens and Richard Muhs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery, Barnhart. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
