Brian L. Murray, 62, of Dittmer died Oct. 22, 2022. Mr. Murray enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his brother, Joe, maintaining the family’s country place in Potosi. As a project manager, he was a hard worker and enjoyed “holding court” with his workmates. He will be remembered for his tenacity, his generosity and his positive attitude. Born Nov. 25, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of Kathryn Murray and the late Leonard Everett and Sabina (Meyer) Murray.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons: Matthew (Jessica) Wade and James Brumgard III; three grandchildren: Heidi Brumgard, Levi Wade and Delaney Wade; five siblings: Jean (Sam Cox) Goodwin, Barbara (James) Bohler, Joe Grothe, Steve Grothe and Donna (Timothy Petzoldt) Murray; four nieces and nephews: Christopher Goodwin, Jason Bohler, Amanda Bohler and Justin Grothe; many other family members and friends; and his pet: Amber.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 4220 Ripa Ave., in St. Louis County, followed by a luncheon in the St. Mark School cafeteria. Arrangements are under the direction of DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi.
