Brenda Rose Darian, 68, of Festus died Jan. 12, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Darian worked as a teller for Commerce Bank of Festus for 23 years and later in the cafeteria for the Festus R-6 School District. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City and VFW Post 3777 Auxiliary. She loved flowers, especially roses, and adored her dog, Jackson. Born June 28, 1953, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Lilly Rose (Richardson) and George Baker.
She is survived by her husband: Robert “Bobby” Darian; a son: Travis R. Darian of Festus; three sisters: Betty (John “Bill”) DeRousse, Geraldine “Gerry” (Howard) Scott and twin sister Linda Baker, all of Festus; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Faye Ellen (Murial survives of Lincoln County) Smith and Bonnie (the late Dwain) Gile.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. until a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. The family requests guests practice social distancing and wear masks. Memorials may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
