Brenda Kay Willcutt, 68, of De Soto died Sept. 7, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Willcutt worked at Wal-Mart and the Pony Bird Home. Born May 17, 1949, in Rector, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Lizzie Laverne (Parham) and George Wallace Beckley.
She is survived by her husband: James R. “Rick” Willcutt Jr., whom she married May 13, 1967; a son: Steven (Dawn) Wilcutt of Richwoods; a daughter: Krystal Wilcutt of De Soto; a sister: Velma Robinson of Cabot, Ark.; and three grandchildren: Dylan (Kelbi Armbruster) Mueller, Kaitlin Willcutt and Alexia Hayes.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Bill Beckley; and a sister: Dolores Deluryea.
Funeral services were held Sept. 10 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Brother Rich Grayson. Burial was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Pony Bird Home or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
