Brenda Kay Wagner, 72, of Festus died April 1, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Town and Country. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Festus. She loved taking care of children, doing flowers arrangements, cooking for family and friends and decorating for special events and holidays. She was born Aug. 1, 1948, in Festus, the daughter of the late Gertrude (Bryant) and Albert F. Becker Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Phillip Wagner Sr.
She is survived by a daughter: Kimberly Wagner of Festus; two sons: MC1 Mass Communication Specialist First Class John Wagner Jr., U.S.N. of San Diego, Calif., and James “Patrick” Wagner of Festus; a sister: Bonnie (the late William) Smith of Arnold; a brother: Bill Becker of Fenton; and special niece and nephew Rebecca (Jessica) Smithorn of Ohio and Sgt. Andrew Smith of Seoul, South Korea.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank Becker Jr. and James Becker.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Pete Ruble. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center or to the Promised Land Preschool. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
