Brenda Kay Harper, 57, of Festus died Jan. 12, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. Harper worked as a healthcare nurse assistant and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with her family. Born Aug. 22, 1963, she was the daughter of Evelyn Kay (Schneider) Haithcoat and the late Raymond George Harper.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons: Joshua (Gracie) Wendt and Zachary Wendt, both of Festus; a brother: James Haithcoat of Eureka; three extended family members: Mary Gibbs, Amanda Gibbs and Geraldine Gibbs; a grandchild: Brayden Wendt; and a nephew: Alexander Haithcoat.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Chris Harper; and her stepfather: Jimmie Diggs Haithcoat.
A funeral service was held Jan. 15 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Memorials may be made to Farmington Pet Rescue, 2901 US 67, Farmington, 63640. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
