Brenda Jo Hartmann, 70, of Festus died May 22, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Hartmann enjoyed gardening, helping her husband with woodcutting and other household projects, and hiking around their property with their dogs. Born Dec. 3, 1950, in Harrisburg, Ill., she was the daughter of Nina (Gulley) and the late Harry Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband: Gary Hartmann of Festus; a daughter: Jamie (Michael) Patrick of Hillsboro; a brother: William Boyd of Evansville, Ind.; and two grandchildren: James Hartmann and Cody Patrick.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Kari Jo Hartman; and three brothers: David Armstrong, Robert Armstrong and Bert Armstrong.
Memorial visitation is scheduled from noon-2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
